The Fall/Winter edition of The Journal of Acoustic Ecology finally made its way to my mailbox. "Soundscape" is published out of Simon Fraser University. As my first academic publication, this journal means a lot to me. Having other people read about my ideas and experiences is very exciting.
My article focuses on my generations love of artifical audio experience. I explore this issue through the story about how "Ziggurat Vertigo" came. I never would have imagined that people would have been interested in the internal musings of a 22 year old.
I hope I can beat the success of Ziggurat Vertigo... I'd hate to have peaked in the second year of my undergrad.
My friends and family have been asking to read my article. I don't feel comfortable letting them read it yet. I'm not as confident in my writing skills as I am in my music skills. As soon as I get over my insecurity I'm sure I'll let people read it. Until then... The graphics they used in the article are pretty cool...
