Lose ends to tie up

I saw the movie "Strings" yesterday. Nothing could have been more fitting for this transitional phase of my life. I've been tying up lose ends for months. Cutting myself loose from my life here. Nothing left but an empty room, a piano and my childhood belongings.

The images of marionette strings trailing up into the sky were very interesting to me. Typically a marionette production tries to hide the strings through the use of clear wires. Not the case here. These strings hold all sorts of interesting symbolism. Fate, connection to god, life...

The movie was a little over dramatic, which in itself is remarkable. If one can accuse a piece of wood for being too expressive, I suppose the marionettes are doing an amazing job. The subtle body language of these wooden avatars was incredible.

Just a few strings left. As I am in this state of limbo, I feel a little vulnerable. Can't wait to settle into my new life.
